What is Athletic Therapy?
Athletic therapy is a specialized healthcare profession focused on the prevention, immediate treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. In simple terms, that means muscles, joints, and bones.
You’ve heard of physiotherapists. You’ve heard of chiropractors. Maybe even massage therapists. But do you know what an athletic therapist actually does? 🤔
A Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(C) is a trained healthcare practitioner who helps people recover from physical injuries and return to the activities they love. Whether you’re a competitive athlete, weekend hiker, or someone dealing with chronic pain, athletic therapy can help.
You don’t have to be an athlete. You just have to have a body that isn’t working the way it should.
Who I work with
I work with a wide range of people; athletes recovering from sports injuries, kids and teens navigating concussion recovery, adults dealing with chronic pain, neck and back pain from desk work, and people who feel stuck and don’t know where to turn next.
If you’re in pain and ready to return to your activities and life, you’re in the right place.
How I work
Every person who walks through my door gets the same thing: time, attention, and clarity.
I start with the full history of your life, not just the injury in front of me. Your body tells a story, and understanding that story is how I find what others miss.
From there, we build a plan together. A personalized approach combining gentle hands-on therapy and movement that works with your body. A realistic timeline so you know exactly what to expect. Clear goals you can actually measure.
“Finally, someone explained it to me.” That’s what I hear most often from clients. Because when you understand what’s happening in your body, you stop guessing and start healing.
