You’ve had the X-ray. The MRI. The CT Scan. Maybe the blood work too. And the result was always the same: everything looks normal.
So why don’t you feel normal?
If you’re nodding along right now, you’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone. This is one of the most common stories I hear in my Port Coquitlam and Burnaby clinic, from people with chronic pain, old injuries that never fully healed, and post-concussion symptoms that linger long after they were told they should be “better by now.”
Here’s the thing: imaging is excellent at finding fractures, tears, and structural damage. It is not designed to find restriction, the subtle places where your body has stopped moving the way it should, where fascia has tightened, where one system is quietly compensating for another. That kind of dysfunction doesn’t show up on a scan. But it shows up in how you feel every single day.
This is where manual osteopathy comes in.
What Manual Osteopathy Actually Looks At
Manual osteopathy is a hands-on therapy that treats the body as one fully connected system, not a collection of separate parts to investigate one at a time.
Instead of asking only where does it hurt, an osteopathic approach asks why is it hurting here, and what else in the body might be driving it? Your joints, muscles, fascia, nervous system, and even your organs are all in communication with each other. A restriction in one area can absolutely create a symptom somewhere else entirely.
That’s often the missing piece for people who’ve already done “everything”, physio, chiro, massage, imaging and still don’t have an answer.
How a Session Actually Works
Your first session starts with something simple that most clients say feels different right away: I actually listen. Your full story, your history, what you’ve already tried, and what your life looks like without pain.
From there, I do a whole-body assessment, looking at how everything connects, not just the spot that hurts. Treatment begins in that same session, using gentle hands-on techniques. There’s no forceful cracking or aggressive pressure involved. Most people find it deeply relaxing, and many notice a shift before they even leave the room.
You’ll walk out with a clear picture of what I found and what your path forward looks like, not more confusion to carry home with you.
What Osteopathy Can Help With
Manual osteopathy is effective for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Chronic pain with no clear cause
- Headaches and migraines
- Neck, back, and hip pain
- Jaw pain and TMJ dysfunction
- Digestive issues
- Post-concussion symptoms
- Whiplash and motor vehicle injuries
- Post-surgical recovery
- Recurring injuries that keep coming back
- Fatigue and nervous system dysregulation
If you see your own experience anywhere on that list, especially if you’ve already been told everything looks normal. There’s a good chance osteopathy can offer the answer imaging couldn’t.

You Deserve Clarity, Not Just a Clean Scan
A normal scan is good news in one very narrow sense. It rules out the most dangerous possibilities. But it was never built to explain why you still feel the way you do, and it was never meant to be the end of your search for answers.
If you’re tired of hearing “everything looks normal” and ready for someone to actually find what’s been missed, I’d love to help.
